Corset Saree
An 1830s corset silhouette folded into the drape of a saree — heritage tailoring meeting the six-yard weave.
Corset Saree reworks Victorian-era boning and lacing against the traditional Indian drape, pairing structured corsetry with the soft fall of saree pleats. The story board pulls from 1830s portraiture and heirloom textiles; the colour board settles into aubergine, gold and dried rose. Developed through flat sketches and technical illustration, the collection sits at the intersection of two very different tailoring traditions.
